Day 1

Hanoi

Your adventure begins in the eclectic, ancient Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. Meet with your fantastic Busabout Guide and get a feel for what’s to come before getting straight into the local culture with an included street food crawl for dinner! Get lost in the tastes and smells of the delicious dishes on offer ranging from the amazingly tasty bun cha noodle dish, to unique egg coffee. Once you’ve had your fill of tasty delicacies, we head off to the international corner to experience a local institution, the refreshing taste of the daily-brewed and preservative-free draught beer Bia Hoi. Later, you’re free to explore the local bars as you get to know your new Busabout squad. - Dinner included

Day 2

Hanoi to Mai Chau

This morning we head west through the stunning Vietnamese countryside en route to Mai Chau. Make sure you get some pics of the bright green patchwork of rice fields dotted with rustic stilt houses along the way! When we arrive, we’re given a delicious included lunch at our stilted accommodation, so build up those energy levels. Then it’s time to hop on a bicycle and head out with a local guide for an intimate exploration of this idyllic valley on our included bike tour! This evening we’ll go for a drink at a local bar and take a load off. Tonight, we are treated to an included locally sourced traditional meal at the homestay, and you’ll also get to sample the potent local rice wine! - Breakfast, lunch and dinner included

Day 3

Mai Chau to Phong Nha Ke Bang

Make yourself comfortable as we journey to the pristine natural wonder of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. We’ll arrive at the UNESCO-listed park in the evening and check in to our accommodation shortly after. Join us tonight at a local restaurant, before we head to a bar to see where the night takes us! Enjoy a drink or two with your Busabout family and soak up the atmosphere. Get prepared for another epic day tomorrow! - Breakfast included

Day 4

Phong Nha Ke Bang

Throw yourself in the wilderness of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. You can explore however you please, but to get the ultimate experience, we highly recommend joining us for today’s optional caving adventure in the jaw-dropping beauty of Paradise Cave! On this adventure we’ll recharge with a tasty lunch, before catching Vietnam’s longest zip line to our next destination: the pitch black, mud-filled Dark Cave! This is your chance to be a child - play in the mud and explore by torchlight, before emerging into the sun and having a splash in the river to clean up. Tonight, we hope you’ll join us for a delicious optional dinner, before returning to the bar for another night of revelry! - Breakfast included

Day 5

Phong Nha Ke Bang to Hue

Today we make tracks towards Hue, with an included stop en route at the Vinh Moc tunnels! We’ll learn all about the fascinating history of this underground city before continuing on our way. We arrive in Hue in time to grab a local bite to eat, before checking into the hotel. Next up, we have an optional excursion to check out the highlights of Vietnam’s ancient capital! This will include the awe-inspiring Imperial Citadel, the towering Pagoda of the Celestial Lady and Khai Dinh Royal Tomb. This evening head out with your Busabout squad and enjoy the nightlife! - Breakfast included

Day 6

Hue to Hoi An

This morning we continue our journey along the coast towards the UNESCO-listed city of Hoi An. On the way we’ll be stopping at the #instaworthy Golden Hand Bridge to enjoy amazing views over the surrounding countryside. This afternoon we’ll make our arrival in Hoi An and if you’re hungry, join us for lunch! Once we’ve eaten, we’ll be visiting the famous Yaly Couture to check out the bespoke clothing. The rest of the day is yours to explore the stunningly preserved Old Town and soak up the rich local history. Grab yourselves a banana-print shirt because tonight, it’s time for the infamous Busabout Fruit Salad Shirt night - head out with your Busabout crew and experience the lively local atmosphere! - Breakfast included

Day 7

Hoi An

What are you waiting for? Get out there and explore this historic city! This afternoon we offer an incredible taste of local life on an optional cooking class hosted by your knowledgeable guide, Mr Chu. Cycle around the countryside and learn the local history and customs before heading to his kitchen on a basket boat! Explore the picturesque channels as you make your way to the Chu family home, where you’ll have a Vietnamese cooking lesson. Learn to make your own spring rolls and xeo, and chow down on the fruits of your labour. Head out this evening for another great night on the town. - Breakfast included

Day 8

Hoi An to Nha Trang (overnight train)

How you spend your last day in Hoi An is up to you! But we recommend a trip to the pristine local beaches. Lay back on the sand and take in the stunning surroundings, go for a swim when you get too warm, and sip on a fresh coconut. This is the life! Later this evening we’ll transfer to our overnight train, continuing south along the coast for our morning arrival at the immaculate waters of Nha Trang, the capital of Khanh Hoa Province. - Breakfast included

Day 9

Nha Trang

Hop off the train and stretch your legs, here we are in the idyllic seaside city of Nha Trang! Spend the rest of the day exploring Nha Trang’s numerous spectacular sights and tourist attractions. If you want the ultimate experience, then you can’t miss our optional boat trip! If you decide to join us, you’ll get to enjoy a full day of snorkelling, swimming, cocktails and all the best views. When we return from the trip, we’ll venture into the shimmering Vietnamese metropolis and experience the renowned nightlife together! Have a drink or two with your travel buddies and trade stories on the adventure so far.

Day 10

Nha Trang to Dalat

This morning we say goodbye to the coast and head inland towards the capital of Lam Dong Province with a stop en route at the Po Nagar Cham Towers. We have included entry into this ancient temple dedicated to the goddess of the country, Yan Po Nagar. We arrive in pretty Dalat in the early afternoon with free time to explore the city. Be sure to check out the otherworldly “Crazy House” and its odd architecture or enjoy a stroll around the gorgeous lake! - Breakfast included

Day 11

Dalat

If having a truly authentic experience is a must for you, then Mr Rot’s optional Secret Tour is the way to go. You’ll get to visit numerous attractions including cricket farms, a local market, silkworm farms, coffee plantations, the thundering Elephant Falls, local villages, and beautiful scenery. Mr Rot prides himself on providing an authentic Vietnamese experience and as such everything you see will be off the beaten path. Alternatively, head out and explore at your own pace. This evening we’ll go for a surreal drinking experience in the eccentric surrounds of 100 Roofs Cafe. - Breakfast included

Day 12

Dalat to Ho Chi Minh City

Today we head to the former capital of South Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. We have two stops en route, beginning with an included visit to the stunning Linh Phuoc Pagoda. Explore the temple’s fascinating decorations made of reclaimed glass and ceramic and see the giant glass dragon sculpture! Our second stop is for lunch at the banks of an idyllic local river. We arrive in old Saigon in the afternoon and spend some free time enjoying the numerous sights of this historic city. After dinner we dance the night away at a nearby Vietnamese club. - Breakfast included

Day 13

Ho Chi Minh City

Spend the day exploring your way, or journey with us a few hours northwest of old Saigon for an optional excursion to explore the Cu Chi tunnels! The complex was an important store and hideout for the Viet Cong during the war. This afternoon you have the option to visit the War Remnants Museum, formerly the American War Crimes Museum, to gain vivid insight into the conflict from a local perspective. This evening we’ll head out to explore the area known as the backpacker triangle, and get the party started. - Breakfast included

Day 14

Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh

This morning we’ll hop on board our local bus and make our way to Phnom Penh. We make our arrival around mid-afternoon and check into our hotel, and you’ll have the chance to stretch your legs. Have a chat with your guide who can fill you in on what to see and do for the next few days in this awesome city! - Breakfast included

Day 15

Phnom Penh

We start the day with an included excursion to visit the infamous S-21 Prison and Killing Fields. This is a darker glimpse into the history of Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge, but it will give you deep insight into the brutality of this Communist regime. We then spend the afternoon exploring the city. See the magnificence of the towering Independence Monument, visit the Royal Palace complex and stroll through the gardens, or relax in one of the city’s many fine cafes. Tonight, we’ll have a visit to Romdeng Restaurant, a Tree Alliance member, for a delicious optional dinner. How about sampling the deep-fried tarantula? Afterwards the night is yours to spend as you please, so head out to some of the local bars, or get some rest for the day to come. - Breakfast included

Day 16

Phnom Penh to Kampot

The time has come to bid farewell to the Cambodian capital and head to the idyllic riverside town of Kampot. After we arrive, we’ll spend the afternoon at a local pepper farm where we learn about the famous Kampot pepper and cool off in the infinity pool! We’ll close out the evening with an optional sunset cruise on the river to soak up the pristine natural beauty of Cambodia. You won’t want to miss it! - Breakfast included

Day 17

Kampot to Sihanoukville

Get ready to experience island living at its finest! We’ll make our way west to the coastal province of Sihanoukville. Swim in the fresh coastal waters, get a massage, and swing in a hammock whilst sipping a refreshing cocktail. This is paradise! We head back in the late afternoon to prepare for a night to remember - tonight it’s all about getting lost in the vibrant nightlife with your Busabout squad. - Breakfast included

Day 18

Koh Rong

We spend the day on the idyllic island of Koh Rong on an included trip to enjoy a day of relaxation, swimming and exploring! Chill on the white sand beaches, go for a refreshing swim, or get active and play a game of beach volleyball. Stress just doesn’t exist in a place like this! Join us for an optional beachside dinner, before going out for a couple of drinks to round off the day. - Breakfast and lunch included

Day 19

Sihanoukville to Battambang

This morning we hop on the coach to take the road north to Battambang. Late afternoon marks our arrival on the banks of the Sangkae River and the bustling city of Battambang. Join us for an optional visit to the Battambang Circus and bear witness to the rich Khmer culture through the lens of performance art. Then we visit a local restaurant for an included dinner of traditional Khmer food! - Breakfast and dinner included

Day 20

Battambang to Siem Reap

Hopefully you saved some energy, as this morning we have an included bike tour through the Cambodian countryside! We’ll get to visit several local homes, learn about the livelihoods of the local community, and enjoy the relaxing pace of village life. After this enlightening morning we then make our way to Siem Reap. In the early afternoon we’ll arrive and have some free time to check out the sights or enjoy the pool. The night is yours to enjoy, so head out to Pub Street and let the party begin! - Breakfast included

Day 21

Siem Reap

This is your chance to tick off a major bucket list experience - see the sunrise over Angkor Wat. Join us for our optional excursion to explore this majestic location. We’ll see the sunrise over the world’s largest religious monument, then head off to visit Bayon Temple, the centrepiece of the ancient royal city of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom. See the ”Tomb Raider” temple and Terrace of the Elephants all from the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle, safe in the care of an expert local guide. Get ready for our final night together, as we go out with a bang in the vibrant nightlife of Siem Reap! - Breakfast included
