Day 1: Paris

Your adventure begins in the beautiful French capital of Paris. Meet with your fantastic Busabout guide at the hotel and get a breakdown of all the wonderful activities to come before delving the depths of this historic city. See the impressive gothic architecture of Notre-Dame, the world famous Champs-Elysees leading up to Napoleon’s historic Arc de Triomphe, climb the Eiffel Tower for a bird's eye view of the city, or simply enjoy an afternoon relaxing and sampling the delicious local cuisine in this iconic location. This evening we have a cycle tour of the city and a starlight cruise down the River Seine to enjoy some complimentary French wine and the spectacular views.

Day 2: Paris to Lauterbrunnen

This morning we embark on our journey towards the Swiss border, so grab a croissant and board our comfy coach safe in the hands of your fantastic Busabout driver. Relax and enjoy the spectacular views as we spend the day travelling through the lush French countryside as we draw nearer to our destination and the staggering natural beauty of Lauterbrunnen. We arrive in our little slice of Alpine paradise this evening just in time for dinner. Get checked in at the campsite and join us for a delicious, traditional Swiss meal in these stunning surroundings. Then kick back and relax while you soak it all in, or grab a drink and party the night away with your fellow passengers.

Day 3: Lauterbrunnen

Explore Lauterbrunnen’s numerous majestic sights and plentiful waterfalls. It’s your chance to see the 'Top of Europe' on the Jungfraujoch railway and see the sights from a lofty elevation of 3,466 metres above sea level or visit the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant as featured in 007’s 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' and enjoy a delicious meal with unique views of the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Monch mountains. We also offer an optional skiing and snowboarding experience for the adrenaline junkies among you.

Day 4: Lauterbrunnen to Grunau

This morning we board our coach for a trek through the alps as we head east towards Austria and our destination for this Christmas Eve, the sleepy village of Grunau. Keep your cameras at the ready as we take our mountainous meander, as the scenery en route to Austria is nothing short of breathtaking! We arrive at the hostel this evening just in time to begin our festive celebrations, safe in the hands of our gracious host Gerhard. Relax and unwind after the long journey as Gerhard cooks up a delectable Christmas Eve dinner and enjoy your meal and a few drinks with your fellow passengers.

Day 5: Grunau

Merry Christmas! Fingers crossed we wake up to a fairy tale white Christmas in this stunning winter wonderland. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and open your presents before relaxing by the fire with a few drinks or heading out for an optional skiing and snowboarding excursion into the Austrian Alps. This afternoon we gather to get into the festive spirit as we prepare for the extravagant Christmas feast with all the trimmings that our host Gerhard has painstakingly prepared for dinner. Celebrate the occasion with a couple of drinks and some local Schnapps as we enjoy a night in the warmth of the hostel.

Day 6: Grunau to Salzburg to Munich

Time to say goodbye to idyllic Grunau and begin our journey to the German border. Just before lunch we have a stop in the city of Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Upon arrival we have an orientation walk to stretch our legs and highlight the many sights of the city. Afterwards you are free to grab a bite to eat and explore a little before we board the coach and continue our journey. Day 7: Munich to Cesky Krumlov

This morning we board the coach and head to the Czech Republic. We arrive in Cesky Krumlov in the afternoon and have an orientation walk upon arrival to stretch our legs and help you get your bearings in your new surroundings. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish, check out the UNESCO-listed Old Town and take in the unique atmosphere, see the massive Cesky Krumlov Castle which (surprisingly for a town of this size) is the second largest castle complex in the Czech Republic, or just kick back and relax in one of the many fine local cafes. This evening you meet with your guide and head off to the Eggenburg brewery to enjoy some delicious authentic fare and some refreshing local beers with your fellow passengers.

Day 8: Cesky Krumlov to Prague

This morning we pack our bags and board the coach onward to the Czech capital city of Prague. We arrive this afternoon and have an orientation walk of this historic city. The town is host to a number of gorgeous Baroque and Gothic architecture and contains a multitude of towers, churches, and castles so grab a bite to eat and spend the afternoon getting lost in this idyllic location. This evening we meet for a delicious dinner and a few drinks at a traditional Czech restaurant. Feel free to head out and experience the eclectic nightlife of this fairy tale city!

Day 9: Prague

See the glorious Prague Castle, visit the Old Town Square to enjoy the fantastic festive markets and see the intricate Prague astronomical clock dating back to the 1400s. Make sure you get the most out of this opportunity to explore these amazing medieval surroundings.

Day 10: Prague to Dresden to Berlin

Our fairy tale affair with Prague ends this morning as we board the coach and prepare for our journey north to the German capital of Berlin via Dresden. Shortly after crossing the German border we arrive in the historical home of the Saxon Kings, Dresden. Enjoy an orientation walk of the town and a sightseeing tour of the gorgeous Old Town and grab a bite to eat in one of the many fine, local establishments. This evening we arrive in sprawling metropolis of Berlin and check into our hostel. Tonight head out into the city for a delicious local dinner and some drinks, then recharge at the hostel or head out into the night and experience Berlin’s renowned nightlife.

Head out on an included walking tour of this magnificent cultural hub to see the numerous sights in town. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the myriad of museums, street art, galleries, and incredible architecture at your leisure and grab an authentic bite to eat in town. Alternatively, take the time to relax and unwind to prepare for the party to come as we embrace the coming of the New Year.
