4 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Budapest
Your adventure begins bright and early in the stunning Hungarian capital, Budapest. Your fantastic Busabout guide will take you on an orientation walk to help familiarise you with your new surroundings and the numerous sights, including the neo-Gothic parliament building, and magical Castle District. In the afternoon you depart for Old Buda Island and your first entry into one of Europe’s biggest and best music festivals: Sziget. Spend the rest of the day soaking up the festival atmosphere with your fellow revellers. This is only the first night so pace yourself, Sziget has much to give and you will want to experience it all!
Day 2: Budapest
We will be returning to the island this afternoon. Before we do, recharge your batteries for the party to come by doing a bit of shopping in the city, or delving the depths of the sights to see in Budapest. If you’re starting to ache after all the activity, we offer an optional tour of the largest medicinal bath in Europe, Szechenyi, so go for a soak and relieve the stresses of life! This afternoon we depart for the island to enjoy another day of incredible live music and entertainment at Sziget. We are at the halfway mark, so party like there’s no tomorrow, and then do it again!
Day 3: Budapest
It’s the final full day, so as much as you may be tired, Hungary still has much to offer you. Take the time to experience anything you may have missed in this dynamic city. For those wishing to explore the dark history of communism we offer an optional tour of the House of Terror, a museum covering fascist and communist rule in Hungary and also a monument to all those who suffered under these terrible regimes. This afternoon we make our way to the island for our final entry into Sziget. Make the most of your last night and enjoy the time you have with all the new friends you’ve made!
Day 4: Budapest
Check-out is after breakfast. We hope to see you again, and if you’re continuing your journey on our Hop-on Hop-off network the next stop is Split via Zagreb.
