See the biggest names in music, venture through hip galleries, and watch awesome acrobatics while indulging in a part of musical history.

In the early 90s, alternative rock ruled the world. Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine had enough die-hard fans to form a small European nation and kids watched skate videos instead of Minecraft tutorials. Lollapalooza symbolised this movement. Now it has spread its wings and become a colourful emblem of what every festival wants to be. You can see the biggest names in music, venture through hip galleries, and watch awesome acrobatics while indulging in a part of musical history.

We spend 4 days exploring Germany. We visit Berlin.

Day 1: Berlin

Your adventure begins with your arrival in the cultural hub of Germany, Berlin. Check into your hostel and meet up with your Busabout guide who will take you on an orientation walk of the city to better familiarise you with your new surroundings and highlight some of the amazing sights on offer. See the historic Brandenburg Gate, which has come to symbolise the hardships of both Germany and Europe’s confrontational past, and walk by the infamous Berlin Wall and its most famous crossing point, Checkpoint Charlie. Later, join your Busabout guide for a night experiencing Berlin’s eclectic nightlife!

Day 2: Berlin

This morning feel free to relax and recharge your batteries, or head out into the city for some shopping. If pedal power is more your thing there are optional bike tours of the city on offer. This afternoon the madness begins as we make our way to the festival grounds for our first day at Lollapalooza. Founded in the ‘90s by Jane’s Addiction band member Perry Farrell as a farewell tour, the festival has since evolved and now caters to many different musical tastes and features non-musical talents as well as some of the most electrifying live music acts on the planet. Dance the night away with your fellow revellers safe in the knowledge that there is still more to enjoy tomorrow.

Day 3: Berlin

Make the most of the morning by exploring this dynamic city further. In addition to all the historically and culturally significant sights we also offer an optional street art workshop. If you’d like something more in depth join us for our Real Berlin Experience and delve deep into a city awash in history. This afternoon we depart once more for our final night at Lollapalooza, kick loose and party like there is no tomorrow with your fellow festivalgoers. Once you’ve had your fill of bands and stage shows return to the hostel to sleep it off.

Day 4: Berlin

It is with a heavy heart that we bid you auf wiedersehen this morning after breakfast. We hope to see you again, and if you’re continuing your journey on our Hop-on Hop-off network, the next stop is Munich via Prague.
