Day 1

Paris

Bonjour! Your adventure begins in the stunning French capital of Paris. Meet with your awesome Busabout guide before heading out for a driving tour of the city’s main sights, like the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. For the evening, join your new travel buddies for an optional dinner at a local Parisian restaurant in the heart of Montmartre. - Breakfast included

Day 2

Paris to Bruges

We depart Paris after breakfast, making our way to Belgium and the picturesque medieval city of Bruges. Upon arrival we stretch our legs on an orientation walk of the town to highlight the many sights in this UNESCO-listed gem. See the lofty tower of the Church of Our Lady, the medieval Belfry of Bruges (the view from atop is spectacular; the 366 stairs are certainly not). Or check out the Market Square and shop till you drop. If you’d rather relax, spend the day sipping on a refreshing Belgian beer and scoffing down some delectable, syrup-soaked waffles in a city littered with gorgeous scenery. Join your group this evening for an optional dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to a Belgian brewery. - Breakfast included

Day 3

Bruges to Amsterdam

This morning, enjoy some free time strolling the cobblestone streets of Bruges! This afternoon we set a course onward to the windmill-dotted countryside of the Netherlands and the glorious capital of Amsterdam. Join us as we head to the famous Red Light District. Later, we’ll enjoy the numerous nightlife options in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities! - Breakfast included

Day 4

Amsterdam

We’ve cleared the agenda for the day so you’re able to soak in Amsterdam at your own pace. Dodge the bicycles as you make your way through the city and check out the impressive works of Vincent van Gogh in his namesake museum. Why not visit the Heineken Experience to learn about the brewing process and try some of Holland’s favourite beer fresh from the tap? Then check out the sprawling Rijksmuseum, or just take it slow, chill out and absorb the laid-back Dutch atmosphere. We offer an informative optional bike excursion today to the lush countryside and a tour of a traditional cheese and clog factory on the banks of the Amstel river. Tonight, head by ferry to see the alternative neighbourhood of NDSM-werf where the true alternative Amsterdam can be found! - Breakfast included

Day 5

Amsterdam to Berlin

Say ‘vaarwel’ to the Netherlands, as we continue our journey east into Germany and the ultra-hip capital of Berlin. On arrival, your guide will take you for an orientation of the city and former East Berlin as you learn of the area's history. Join with the group this evening for an optional dinner! Later, we’ll all head out to the city and trust us, you won’t want to miss this. You’ll get to experience some of the absolute best nightlife Europe has to offer. It’s time to party like the Deutsch! - Breakfast included

Day 6

Berlin

There’s a tonne to see and do on your free day. Explore the graffiti-littered remnants of the Berlin Wall, see the opulent majesty of the 18th century Brandenburg Gate, visit Museum Island and spend the day lost in Berlin’s rich cultural heritage or do as the locals do, sipping coffee in one of the city’s many great cafes. There’s an optional walking tour to learn of Berlin’s more recent history, or for those looking for something different, try our alternative walking tour! This includes visits to some of Berlin’s most famous artistic sights. Try out the diverse local cuisine of this eclectic city and chow down on some famous currywurst. Later, we will head to hipster Kreuzberg, with its multitude of hip local bars. - Breakfast included

Day 7

Berlin to Prague

Let’s get moving! We make tracks this morning after breakfast and drive into the heart of Bohemia, the beautiful city of Prague. Shortly before crossing the German border we arrive in the “Florence of the North” and the capital of Saxony, Dresden. Stretch your legs with a wander through the Gothic Old Town. This afternoon we arrive in the “City of a Thousand Spires”, Prague. Your guide will give you an orientation of the city including the hilltop Castle District, winding Old Town and the John Lennon Wall. Join us tonight for an optional delicious meal in a traditional medieval restaurant. - Breakfast included

Day 8

Prague

Prague is a city littered with scenic views and hidden gems around every corner. Join our optional tour of Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world and home to the Bohemian Crown Jewels. Visit the Old Town Square to explore the markets, sample the delicious local pastries and see the intricate Prague Astronomical Clock dating back to the 1400s. We also offer an optional trip to Kutna Hora to explore the macabre Sedlec Ossuary, a chapel artistically adorned in the bones of over 40,000 people. Creepy? Yes. But well worth a visit! - Breakfast included

Day 9

Prague to Krakow

Today we travel to one of Poland’s oldest cities - Krakow! Our drive will take us through the rolling countryside of Poland and we’ll get our first view of snow-capped mountains. On arrival, your guide will take you on an orientation walk of this impressive cultural hub to highlight the numerous remarkable sights on offer followed by an optional dinner at a local restaurant. Tonight, you can try some of the delicious local pierogi and wash it all down with a shot of Zubrowka, the fiery local vodka. Check out Krakow’s electric nightlife with us tonight on an optional bar crawl. - Breakfast included

Day 10

Krakow

Today you have the chance to explore some of Krakow’s most impressive sights. Choose to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau to learn more of the chilling history of WWII and the destruction of the Nazi regime on the Jewish and Gypsy communities of Europe. Alternatively, you can tour the impressive Wieliczka Salt Mine, a city built a mile underground with cavernous chapels carved out below the surface! It’s full of incredible statues and various intricate artworks carved directly into the walls. Tonight we’ll visit the Kazimierz, an area known for its rich Jewish heritage and cuisine. Zapiekanka is a true Polish delicacy, and you shouldn’t leave without trying it! - Breakfast included

Day 11

Krakow to Zakopane

This morning we depart for our first Alpine destination of Zakopane. We arrive at the base of the Tatra Mountains around midday allowing you plenty of time to explore your scenic surroundings. Spend your afternoon on the slopes enjoying all the winter sports on offer, including snowmobiling, ice-skating, sleigh rides, snowshoe walks, and plenty of slope side activities. If you’d prefer to relax and indulge in some retail therapy head down to the ever popular Krupowki Street and get lost in the maze of cafes, boutiques, restaurants, and bars. Tonight we have a traditional dinner in a local restaurant, so join your group for a relaxing evening. - Breakfast included

Day 12

Zakopane to Budapest

After our epic night in the mountains, we depart for one of the most beautiful drives of the trip on our way to the “Paris of the East”, Budapest. We arrive into Budapest this afternoon and check-in to our new digs, then it’s time to head out and see all of the fantastic sights in the incredible capital city of Hungary and sample some of the local delicacies. Budapest’s nightlife is famous for a reason, so join your guide tonight for a visit to some of the unique ruin bars and get ready to party into the night! - Breakfast included

Day 13

Budapest

Explore today with no limits! Visit the Castle District and see the majestic spires, or head down to the UNESCO-listed site of Andrassy and onward into Heroes Square. See the gargantuan neo-Gothic Parliament building, Hungary’s biggest building, and its many sights within. If you’re worried about missing something, sign up for the optional bicycle tour of the city! For something a bit different, Budapest is home to Europe’s largest ice-skating rink; and if you get a bit bumped and bruised from falling down too much, a few hours in the healing thermal waters of Szechenyi Baths is a great way to relax and soothe the soul. - Breakfast included

Day 14

Budapest to Salzburg

After breakfast we board our trusty coach, so kick back and relax as we make our way through the lofty snow-capped peaks of the Austrian Alps to the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the scenic setting of The Sound of Music: Salzburg! Upon arrival we have an orientation walk to help you get your bearings. See the baroque towers of the Old Town and grab a delicious traditional bite to eat. Tonight we might be lucky enough to check out a game of ice hockey at the Eisarena! - Breakfast included

Day 15

Salzburg to Munich

For those Julie Andrews fans (don’t be shy now), you have the option of doing a ‘The Sound of Music’ tour to visit all of the beautiful locations used in this classic film. For the non-believers, a stroll along the Salzach river for jaw-dropping shots of Salzburg is an ideal morning activity. This afternoon we’re back on the coach to continue through Austria’s beautiful Alpine scenery, before arriving in the Bavarian capital of Munich. Join your guide for a stroll through the Gothic inspired Old Town, see the Marienplatz and Rathaus-Glockenspiel as well as the spires of the Frauenkirche. Bavarians are famous for beer, and tonight you can join your fellow travellers for a stein and pork knuckle in one of Munich’s most atmospheric beer halls! - Breakfast included

Day 16

Munich

Right, get cracking! Today is yours to explore the Bavarian capital, and there’s a tonne of great sights to visit. The sprawling greenery of the English Gardens (one of the largest parks in the world) is a Munich favourite. Or you can climb the steps and see the impressive architecture of the Cathedral of Our Dear Lady. Today we offer an optional excursion to the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle; Disney fans, this is for you! This site was the inspiration for the Disney castle. Alternatively, visit the sombre Dachau concentration camp and learn of the atrocious depths of human cruelty and the tremendous resolve of the human spirit during WWII. A dark but informative experience, this will be one you’ll remember. - Breakfast included

Day 17

Munich to Venice

After breakfast we bid ‘auf wiedersehen’ to Munich, and begin our journey to “The Floating City”of Venice. Resting across the backs of 118 islands, this ancient architectural marvel is a UNESCO-listed monument teeming with rich history and beautiful sights. Upon arrival we check-in to our accommodation and the rest of the night is yours to relax. Head out into the town and immerse yourself in the vibrant Italian nightlife or join us for dinner and drinks at the home base. - Breakfast included

Day 18

Venice

Ah, Venice. You’re even more magical in winter. Today is the day to get out and explore the winding canals and alleys of this historic location! See the beautiful canals up close on an intimate gondola ride, and if you’re lucky you may even be serenaded by your gondolier. Wander through St Mark’s Square and enjoy some of the world's tastiest gelato, or do as lovers have done for centuries and marvel at the Bridge of Sighs. For the foodies, grab a pizza at a canal-side restaurant overlooking the Rialto Bridge, before strolling among the boutique fashion stores that line the twisting alleys of the city. For the best shots for the ‘gram, take a trip on a vaporetto to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello and witness the incredible artistry of the traditional glass blowing! - Breakfast included

Day 19

Venice to Rome

All roads lead to Rome, as this morning we depart Venice for a trip through the rolling Italian countryside. This ancient capital, home to empires and emperors, dates back more than 2,500 years and is one of the most historically significant cities still standing today. We arrive and check-in this afternoon, before heading out to explore this city overflowing with history, art, and monuments. This evening we offer a delicious optional dinner, so relax with some incredible Italian food and rub shoulders with your fellow passengers over a few glasses of vino. - Breakfast included

Day 20

Rome

This morning, head out to lose yourself in the glory of Rome! Join us on an optional walking tour of the city and see the world-famous Spanish Steps, make a wish at the picturesque Trevi Fountain, visit the Pantheon and see the ancient battleground of the gladiators in the Colosseum. Alternatively travel to the world’s smallest state of Vatican City and see the majesty of St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the various Vatican Museums. Tonight, a trip to the food heaven of Trastevere is a great way to sample some traditional Italian food, side by side with intimate wine bars and craft beer houses. - Breakfast included

Day 21

Rome to Florence

After breakfast we say ‘arrivederci’ to Rome and board the coach headed into wine country! Our destination? The Tuscan capital of Florence. After we arrive you have the day to explore the birthplace of the Renaissance at your leisure or join us for a fantastic optional walking tour. See the Piazza Signoria, Duomo, Dante’s house, Uffizi Galleria, and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, just to name a few. Then we have an informative leather demonstration followed by dinner before an epic night out. Warm up those vocal chords (and maybe have a drink or two for courage) because it’s time to hit the karaoke! - Breakfast included

Day 22

Florence

Florence has been home to artists for centuries and today is your opportunity to explore this Renaissance-inspired city. See the largest brick dome ever constructed at the Florence Cathedral, visit the towering town hall of Palazzo Vecchio and the numerous sights nearby. Explore the Arno river and see the beauty of the old bridge, or spend the day relaxing with some great wine on your quest to find the perfect Florentine steak. Today we offer optionals such as horse riding, day trips into the heart of Tuscany, or a visit to San Gimignano where you can wander the vineyards and cellars and sample some delicious wine pairings. - Breakfast included

Day 23

Florence to Lauterbrunnen

Trust us, keep that camera ready. Today, we head for the Swiss border and the Alpine paradise of Lauterbrunnen. Sit back and relax as we spend the day making our way through the pristine mountain wilderness, before arriving in our picturesque home for two nights! This valley is nestled between the high mountains and dotted with 72 stunning waterfalls. Get checked in this evening and join us for a delicious optional dinner. Who could say no to a traditional cheese fondue and crispy potato rosti? If you’d rather get outdoors, spend the evening relaxing in the fresh mountain breeze. - Breakfast included

Day 24

Lauterbrunnen

Today we will be spending the whole day in awe of Lauterbrunnen’s numerous majestic sights and crashing falls. For the adrenaline junkies why not get a bird's eye view of the region while paragliding or skydiving? Head to the slopes of the Jungfrau region and carve up some powder while snowboarding or skiing. Venture via the funicular to Jungfraujoch to experience life at nearly 4,000m. For the James Bond fans, a trip to the top of Schilthorn and the Piz Gloria, featured in 007’s “On Her Majesty's Secret Service” boasts spectacular views. Join your group this evening for night sledding at the Swiss mountains! - Breakfast included

Day 25

Lauterbrunnen to Paris

Enjoy your breakfast before we wave goodbye to the gorgeous Swiss Alps and make our way through the rolling countryside back to our starting point: the glamorous French capital of Paris. We arrive late afternoon and get checked in before having one last group dinner and some drinks at our hostel. Let’s enjoy the delicious French cuisine and reflect on what an incredible journey it’s been so far. Alternatively, head to Montmartre and witness the sexy spectacle of the Moulin Rouge, or spend the night lost in the vibrant Parisian nightlife. This is your last night of the adventure, so live it up! - Breakfast included
