13 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Paris
Your adventure begins in the French capital of Paris! After check-in, it’s time to hit the streets and explore, so why not visit some of the green parks for people watching, grab some colourful macarons from Gerard Mulot, or enjoy some wine and cheese at a hip local hangout like La Cave de Belleville. This evening head to the district of Monmartre to enjoy sunset views from the steps of the Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur. When you’re feeling hungry, prepare to enjoy a delicious included welcome dinner. Your mouth will be watering with the roast duck, beef bourguignon, steak tartare, escargot, and prawns on offer. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure, so take a stroll along the streets or watch an authentic cabaret show! Dinner included
Day 2: Paris to Bruges
Enjoy some breakfast this morning before waving au revoir to Paris. Soon we will be driving through La Somme, the WW1 battlefield, on our way to beautiful Bruges. This city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of Belgium’s most well-preserved medieval cities filed with charming alleys, canals, bridges and Gothic architecture. The cuisine is one of a kind too, with arguably the best chocolate and beer in the world! After getting settled, meander through the Old Town and the Grote Markt (market place). Make sure you leave room in your belly tonight, and head out for a traditional dinner - make sure you try some cheese croquettes and duck a l’orange. Find a local bar tonight like Le Trappiste, and enjoy one of many varieties of beer. Breakfast included
Day 3: Bruges
Today is the day to get out and experience the beautiful city of Bruges! Wander the cobbled streets, grab some frites with mayo, or hire a bike and explore on two wheels. If you’re keen to see a little further, visit Flanders Fields. This is an informative day trip that concentrates on the WWI battlefields of the Great War. Tonight you’re welcome to join us at the hostel’s onsite bar with extensive range of locally produced beer, and share our stories of the day’s adventures. Breakfast included
Day 4: Bruges to Amsterdam
Make the most of your morning by grabbing a tasty lunch or hitting the shops around Grote Markt! After lunchtime we’ll depart from Bruges and begin our drive towards the winding canals and narrow lanes of Amsterdam. After arriving in the early evening, you’ll have some time to check in and get settled before going out tonight. Find a local restaurant and enjoy some of the best dishes like bitterballen (deep-fried crispy meatballs), kibbeling (battered fish), or stamppot (the ultimate Dutch comfort food). If you’re feeling daring, there’s an optional erotic show to be seen. But if you’d rather enjoy the fresh air and explore the city at your own pace, just watch out for the bicycles - they run this town! Breakfast included
Day 5: Amsterdam
Fill up on breakfast this morning as you might be keen to join us for the incredible included Countryside Bike Tour to see traditional farms, learn about the delicious cheese, view the tallest wooden windmill in the country, and be impressed by how the Dutch have expertly managed flooding (one third of the Netherlands lies below sea level). Take the afternoon to chill and explore Amsterdam. We highly recommend checking out Vondelpark. Popular with the locals, this centrally-located park is the perfect place to hang out and have a picnic on the grass with a cold drink and some stroopwafles. Relax and save some energy for tonight, so you can experience the nightlife of this eclectic city. Breakfast included
Day 6: Amsterdam
Amsterdam awaits! Catch a free 20-minute ferry over to Noord on the northern side of the city where you’ll find warehouses full of art spaces, skateparks, and shipping containers that have been converted into bars and eateries. Check out the street art on Spuistraat, visit the hipster neighborhood of De Pijp, or hang out at Hannekes Boom - this long standing bar and cafe has outdoor seating, good music and is popular with the local crowd. Later this afternoon why not join us for a visit to Foodhallen, the main food market of Amsterdam. Bring an appetite because it’s time to eat some more of the local delicacies! Breakfast included
Day 7: Amsterdam to Berlin
Rise and shine, it’s time board our coach and make our leave from Amsterdam this morning. Make yourself comfortable, as today we’ll be making tracks towards the German capital, Berlin! On our way we’ll be driving through Marienborn, which used to be the largest of the border crossing complexes of East and West Germany - the most sinister stretch of the Cold War era Iron Curtain. On our arrival into Berlin, you’ll have some time to freshen up and stretch those legs. Head out tonight to visit some of the alternative and quirky bars, and enjoy the nightlife! Breakfast included
Day 8: Berlin
Berlin is waiting! There’s plenty to see and do. For those wanting to experience the hip and alternative Berlin scene, then Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is a must! Here you’ll find everything from creative art spaces to urban gardens, the coolest street art, bars and restaurants. If you get hungry, head to Curry 61 for the best currywurst in town! Alternatively, join us on an optional excursion to Sachsenhausen for a tour of the former concentration camp. Tonight, grab a local meal and head to the hip area of Kreuzberg, which is popular with the locals. Breakfast included Dinner included
Day 9: Berlin
Today you have another day to explore Berlin. If you feel like relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere, we recommend heading to Tiergarten - Berlin’s equivalent of New York’s Central Park or London’s Hyde Park. We recommend you check out the view from the roof terrace and dome of the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building (you’ll need to sign up online). Wandering along the River Spree is also as good option, where you can explore the sand beach, gardens, art galleries, food stalls, bars and live music. For dinner tonight we suggest Burgermeister (arguably Berlin’s best burgers), or Mustafa’s Kebab - this is where the kebab was invented! Breakfast included
Day 10: Berlin to Prague
This morning we journey onwards to Prague! We’ll arrive early afternoon into this fairytale city known for its tremendous history, baroque and gothic architecture, bohemian cafes and absinthe bars (watch out for the latter!). After we check in you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to head out and explore! Get lost in the Old Town, and visit the Clementinum, which holds the National Czech Library with its baroque hall. See if you can find the park with all the peacocks, near the base of the castle! Find a local restaurant and enjoy some dumplings, or the warming beef goulash soup. Tonight, make sure you experience classic Czech hospitality in some of the city’s best-loved bars. Czech’s drink more than anybody else, and it’s easy to see why with their range of beers to be tested! Breakfast included
Day 11: Prague
Set the alarm to get the most out of your day in beautiful Prague. Visit the peaceful Waldstein Gardens to take a load off and relax, visit the Franz Kafka Museum or the Nuclear Bunker Museum. If you feel like joining us, sign up to visit the Kutna Hora Bone Chapel on a day trip. Home to much more than creepy pyramids of skulls and bones, it was the economic powerhouse of the Kingdom of Bohemia and played a crucial role in the 15th century Hussite Wars. Tonight, get a feel for the nightlife by visiting Karlovy Lazne, the biggest club in Prague. It has 5 floors, each with a different theme and styles of music - no matter what your music preference, you'll find it here! Breakfast included
Day 12: Prague - Munich
Enjoy a sleep-in this morning, or head back to the beautiful Old Town for one last wander. Around midday we’ll make our departure and head towards Munich! It’s no wonder this Bavarian city draws waves of visitors all year round, the various beer halls and the English Gardens are well worth a visit. For those wanting to visit the inspiration for the Disney Castle, Neuschwanstein, this city is the perfect base. After arrival this evening, it’s time to enjoy an included dinner in a traditional Bavarian beer hall. Try obatzda cheese, pork knuckle, kasespatzle (kind of soft egg and cheese noodle) and of course, beer! Raise your glass and ‘prost’ to an incredible adventure! Breakfast included Dinner included
