Your adventure begins today in the beautiful Italian capital of Rome! Check-in and take some time to relax by the pool before our included walking tour this evening. This is a relaxed-pace tour over 2 hours, taking us to see all the best spots. Marvel at the great palaces, ornate fountains, beautiful piazzas and historical monuments in a city with a unique depth of culture rarely seen elsewhere in the world. When you’ve worked up an appetite, the tour finishes in Trastevere, one of Rome’s most charming areas. It’s filled with narrow, cobbled streets and piazzas, with a small village vibe. This is where you can find Rome’s most traditional eateries and wine bars.
Rome to Florence
Enjoy some breakfast before we make our way through the Tuscan countryside towards our stunning destination of Florence. Before settling into our hostel we’ll take a photo stop at Piazza Michelangelo, one of the best lookouts for a stunning view of Florence. After we arrive, join us for a fantastic optional walking tour with a local guide. See the Piazza Signoria, Duomo, Dante’s house, Uffizi Galleria, and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, just to name a few. Then we have an informative leather demonstration followed by dinner before an epic night out. Warm up those vocal chords (and maybe have a drink or two for courage) because it’s time to hit the karaoke! - Breakfast included
Head out into the heart of this Italian treasure and visit the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia (make sure to book well in advance). Next, check out one of Florence’s numerous magnificent museums, like Santa Maria del Fiore, and admire the gorgeous Ponte Vecchio. Let your stomach guide you, and take a visit to the San Lorenzo food market, followed by a stroll along the River Arno for incredible sunset views. - Breakfast included
Do something a little different today! If it takes your fancy you can travel to the Tuscan countryside to sample some local wines and enjoy the views. Or hop on a local train and head to the nearby town of Pisa to see the iconic leaning tower. If you feel like sampling some of the best cuisine Florence has to offer, head to a local trattoria and try out the bistecca alla Fiorentina: arguably the best steak in Europe! - Breakfast included
Florence to La Spezia
It’s time to say addio to Florence. Board the comfy coach and settle in for the journey to the picturesque La Spezia! Upon arrival later this morning, take some time to freshen up and catch an afternoon train to Monterosso, the furthest of the Cinque Terre villages. Soak up the sun and spend a couple of hours sightseeing and swimming, before our included picnic dinner. If you’re planning a big day of hiking and swimming tomorrow, make sure you relax tonight to recharge your batteries. - Breakfast and dinner included
Rise and shine, it’s time to make the most of the day and start train-hopping through the Cinque Terre National Park! Load up on breakfast and get those energy levels pumping because you’ve got the five towns of Cinque Terre to visit: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia and Monterossa. Take your time and cool off from the heat with some swimming along the way. Make sure that camera is fully charged, as you’ll be seeing a lot of picture-perfect spots. - Breakfast included
La Spezia to Lauterbrunnen
This morning we depart La Spezia, so kick back and relax as the coach winds its way through the stunning Italian countryside into the beautiful splendour of the Swiss Alps. Get ready to break through the pristine mountain wilderness and burst into a valley nestled between the high mountains. Scattered with 72 waterfalls––your picturesque home for the next few days––welcome to the sleepy alpine village of Lauterbrunnen. After arrival this evening, wander out for an evening stroll through the fresh air, or enjoy a few drinks at the bar! - Breakfast included
It’s time to get those legs moving and discover all that this mountainous nirvana has to offer! Check out one of the many hiking trails and marvel at the local falls. Venture to the “Top of Europe” via the funicular and summit Jungfrau. Whilst you’re up there, soak in the views, or grab a bite to eat whilst enjoying the breathtaking panorama from up high, and while away the hours under the clear mountain skies. Tonight, fill up that empty belly with an included dinner at the onsite restaurant, and trade stories from your day of adventuring. - Breakfast and dinner included
