Day 1: Fethiye to Saklikent Gorge to Kas

Your adventure begins as you meet with your fantastic Busabout guide and coach driver for your departure from the Aegean city of Fethiye, on our scenic meander to Kas. Our first stop for the day is at the Saklikent National Park to see the canyon up close on an optional gorge walk and grab a bite to eat. Then we’ll depart for our penultimate stop for the day, a swim in the crystal blue waters of Kaputas. After our swim stop, we arrive to the coastal town of Kas. This evening join your guide for a walk into town to enjoy a delicious local dinner before heading back to the hotel to relax. Alternatively wander out into the fresh sea breeze to explore the nightlife of this coastal gem.

Day 2: Kas

Take your time to explore and navigate the town’s quirky stores and cafes before heading to the ancient ruins located around town, like the Lycian tombs and the Greco-Roman amphitheatre. Alternatively, spend the day soaking up the sun on one of the many beautiful beaches in the area or join in on the fun with some adrenaline pumping water sports on offer throughout the town. Tonight head out for an unforgettable meal where you can feast on some of the freshest seafood on the Turquoise Coast!

Day 3: Kas to Antalya

It’s time to depart Kas towards the bustling coastal metropolis of Antalya. We arrive just in time for lunch and you have the entire afternoon to explore this dynamic city. Soak up the sun and sea at the pristine white sands of Konyaalti beach, pick up some souvenirs, explore the massive stonewalls of the Old Town of Kaleici and see the triumphal arch of Hadrian’s Gate. This evening experience the vibrant Turkish nightlife in this sparkling seaside city.

Day 4: Antalya to Cappadocia

This morning we begin our journey inland to the famous Cappadocia. We’ll stop in Konya to visit Mevlana, the ornate resting place of influential Muslim philosopher Celaleddin Rumi, where you will have your first experience of Seljuk culture and see the dervish of the Sufi order. As we continue our journey we stop at Sultanhani, just as caravans on the Silk Road have since the Middle Ages. Sultanhani was the original roadside motel and has many stories to share, so stay awhile and listen. We make our way to our lodgings for the night where we will be sleeping in a cave hotel. Tonight your guide will take you out for a local feast, before you retire for the night in style.

Day 5: Cappadocia

Get ready to head out on a tour of Cappadocia’s best sights, beginning with an ancient underground city, then onto Love Valley to explore the rocky spires of the ‘fairy chimneys’. We have a photo stop in Cavusin with its spectacular rock castle, and then we’ll take a break in Goreme for a delicious local lunch. You’ll also have ample opportunity to pick up some souvenirs here. Before we return to the hotel we stop at the Pigeon Valley and the Goreme open-air museum. Tonight your guide will take you out for a local feast and a drink or two.

Day 6: Cappadocia

Prepare for an exciting day of exploration as we delve the depths of Cappadocia’s hidden gems. Spend the morning discovering ancient churches, cave systems, secluded valleys and visit a traditional Cappadocian house that is home to ancient relics, some of which are thousands of years old. In the afternoon we return to the hotel, take a load off and unwind with a refreshing dip in the pool or relax at the Turkish baths. This evening we have an optional Turkish cultural experience. This unmissable event features the mesmerising dancing of the whirling dervishes, and the ever-popular belly dancing!

Day 7: Cappadocia to Istanbul

It’s an early start this morning as we make our way onto Istanbul. Relax on board and enjoy the gorgeous scenery as we head to our photo stop at Lake Tuz. Tuz is the second largest lake in Turkey and one of the largest salt lakes in the world. Explore the mineral rich shores and stretch your legs before we board the coach for the final leg of our journey to Turkey’s most populous city, Istanbul. We arrive to the cultural hotbed of Turkey in the evening to check into our hostel. Then kick back and enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner, as your guide familiarises you with the sights to see through the fog of shisha smoke. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy this fantastic city!

Day 8: Istanbul

Check-out is after breakfast. We hope to see you again!
