5 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech
Your adventure begins with your arrival in Marrakech. After a swift transfer to the hotel we’ll have a welcome meeting. Meet with your fantastic guide and fellow passengers and get to know one another in a relaxed atmosphere before heading off for an included dinner followed by some free time. Explore this Moroccan treasure at your own pace, but bear in mind we will be returning for a more thorough visit in a few days so don't be afraid of missing out. Regardless of your plans enjoy a wonderful night under the African sky.
Day 2: Marrakech to Sahara Desert
This morning we make our way over the snow-capped High Atlas mountains as we enter the Saharan Desert. We pass through the surprisingly lush Draa Valley where water from the river is used to water the thirsty palm groves before making our way into the town of Zagora. We then mount our humped transport for an old-fashioned trek into the desert, make sure your camera equipment is fully charged as this is a bucket list experience you won't want to forget. Tonight we share a truly remarkable evening under the Saharan stars with the local Berbers enjoying traditional food, drink, and music.
Day 3: Sahara Desert to Marrakech
Enjoy your breakfast in the desert before we start making our way back to Marrakech. We return with plenty of free time for exploring, so head out and see some of this city’s amazing sights. Explore the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, check out the Djemaa el-Fnaa square and marketplace located in the city’s historic Medina, or simply relax in one of the many local cafes and while away the hours. After all that walking we offer an optional excursion to relax in a traditional hammam and soak the stresses of the day away.
Day 4: Marrakech to Essaouira
This morning we begin our leisurely drive towards the coastal city of Essaouira. This colourful fishing village is adorned with 15th century fortifications, which may seem familiar if you are a Game of Thrones fan as Essaouira is Astapor on the show. Enjoy a relaxed day of free time to spend as you choose, explore the numerous beaches, have a refreshing mint tea in the local cafes, do some souvenir shopping, or just relax in the lazy coastal atmosphere and watch the world go by. Tonight enjoy a wonderful evening on the town in the fresh Moroccan sea breeze.
Day 5: Essaouira to Marrakech
Enjoy breakfast with a view of the Atlantic before we start making our way back to Marrakech with an estimated arrival time of 1pm. The tour will come to an end upon our arrival. We hope you had a great time!
