We love to party, and nobody parties better than the Dutch on King’s Day. Do it Dutch, and experience King’s Day like a local!
At Busabout, we can relate to the Dutch. We adore pancakes, have pretty forward-thinking values, and are obsessed with the colour orange. We also love to party, and nobody parties better than the Dutch on King’s Day. You see streets flooded with concerts and raves, impossible events on canal boats, and bars more rowdy than your wildest New Year celebration. Do it Dutch, and experience King’s Day like a local!
We spend 4 days exploring Netherlands. We visit Amsterdam.

4 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Amsterdam
Your adventure begins with your check-in at our hostel in the glorious capital of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Once your bags are safely stowed we have an orientation walk through the beating heart of this vibrant location. See the incredible architecture and stunning houseboats along the banks of Amsterdam’s gorgeous canals as your fantastic Busabout guide highlights all the local hotspots. Be sure you’re not in the bike lane as the Dutch cyclists can be notoriously unforgiving! Join us tonight for a delicious welcome dinner and a few drinks with your fellow passengers before heading out into the city for an unforgettable night where the only limit is your imagination.
Day 2: Amsterdam
Prepare for a bike ride to the scenic countryside with a tour of a traditional cheese and clog factory along the banks of the Amstel river. This afternoon visit the Heineken Experience to learn about the brewing process and try some of Holland’s favourite drink directly from the source, check out the impressive works of Vincent van Gogh in his namesake museum, or simply relax in this metropolitan wonderland ahead of tonight’s festivities. Before King’s Day, comes King’s Night! Join your guide for a night on the town and get ready to keep pace with the locals as you party the night away.
Day 3: Amsterdamage
The big day has arrived! Get ready for the orange madness of King’s Day. Koningsdag is a tradition dating back to the 1800s and today the city streets will see no cars or trams, only a flood of brightly dressed revellers ready for a celebration. Your senses will be assaulted as the city transforms itself into a massive open air market with live music for the day. Every establishment in town is out to impress with events at every boat, bar, and club so join your guide for a tour of all the best spots and live it up in this incredible atmosphere!
Day 4: Amsterdam
Check-out is after breakfast, we hope to see you again!
