Day 1
Munich
Welcome to Munich! It’s time for the adventure to begin, so get checked in and make yourself comfortable at the accommodation before we meet up for a round of Happy Hour drinks. Alternatively, head out to see the lesser-known city sights. Fancy a dip? Make your way to Muller’sches Volksbad for the classiest swim of your life. If you’re looking for some quality time with a good book, there’s no better place to sit and relax than the Hofgarten. Tonight, join us in a Bavarian beer hall for an included dinner! What are the must-try dishes, you ask? Pretzels with obatzda cheese, pork knuckle, sausages, kasespatzle and of course, beer! Dinner included
Day 2
Munich to Bled
Enjoy some breakfast this morning before we head to Slovenia! Sit back and relax on the coach, as we meander through the Bavarian and Austrian countryside towards Lake Bled, where we’ll arrive in the afternoon. This hidden gem, located in the Julian Alps, is one of the most picturesque places in Slovenia. Bled is known for its surrounding nature, picture-perfect town, stunning lake and medieval castle, as well as the nearby gorges and rivers. Trust us, this place will be a highlight for sure! Around lunchtime we’ll check in to our accommodation, then you’re free to explore or join the guide on a hike up to the castle. Tonight you have another included dinner to look forward to, this time a tasty BBQ meal at our accommodation site. Breakfast included Dinner included
Day 3
Lake Bled
You’ll have the whole day to explore this Slovenian slice of paradise! Why not hire a bike to see the glistening lake and surrounding nature, hike up the nearby hills for breathtaking panoramas of the area, or embark on the optional Emerald River Adventure? Vintgar Gorge is another must-see for nature lovers, and the Postojna Caves make for the perfect day-trip for any budding cave enthusiasts. Tonight, recover the day’s spent calories with dinner at a local restaurant and a slice of the famous Bled Cake. Breakfast included
Day 4
Lake Bled to Venice
This is your last morning in these idyllic surrounds, so make the most of it! Then it’s time to board the coach and begin our journey to the Italian coast and the architectural marvel of Venice. Relax as we take the scenic route through the Julian Alps and Ljubljana where we’ll be making a brief stop this afternoon. We’ll arrive in Venice come evening and you’re free to spend it however you like, either head to the island of Venice and explore on your own, or relax by the pool at the accommodation. Tonight, enjoy another included traditional Italian dinner with pasta, pizza, and lasagna all on offer! Breakfast included Dinner included
Day 5
Venice
After your included breakfast, take the shuttle to the island of Venice. Peel yourself away from the tourist attractions and see the city as the locals do by getting lost in the narrow, cobblestone streets. If you fancy some unbeatable views of the city, head over to San Giorgio Maggiore and climb the bell tower, or spend some time in the Cannaregio district to escape the crowds. For a truly authentic Aperol Spritz and some beautifully delicious cicchetti, seek out Bacaro Risorto for an evening of good vibes and better food. Breakfast included
Day 6
Venice to Ellmau
This morning, say ciao to Venezia, as we board the coach and head towards the Austrian border and our destination of Ellmau. We’ll make your way through the magnificent Austrian Alps and through the Brenner mountain pass of the Tyrolean region until we arrive in the idyllic mountain town of Ellmau in the afternoon. You’ll feel like you’ve fallen into a postcard! We have two days to explore here, so spend the day settling down and prepare to get stuck in tomorrow. You can go swimming in the crystal clear waters of the nearby lakes, bathing in the steam baths, and hiking or cycling through the nearby mountains of the Wilder Kaiser region. Sounds like a dream, right? For avid hikers, check out the 15km loop trek. The trail will take you up to 1,500 meters above sea level, and you can marvel at the jagged rock faces of Wilder Kaiser Range and enjoy the breathtaking views of Kitzbuhel Alps. Not for the faint-hearted! Breakfast included
Day 7
Ellmau
Prepare for a day of outdoor adventuring in the gorgeous Austrian wilderness! There are a tonne of exciting activities on offer, so spend today however you like. Feel the wind in your hair as you explore the lush surroundings while mountain biking, take a hike into the hills and have a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of an Alpine lake or saddle up and explore the area on horseback. Take it all in and make sure to keep the camera charged as Ellmau’s natural beauty holds a surprise around every turn! Breakfast included
Day 8
Ellmau to Munich
Fill up on breakfast and absorb the landscape this morning as we board the coach mid-afternoon for the final leg of your journey towards the German border. After a short couple of hours we’ll make your arrival back where it all began, in the beautiful Bavarian capital of Munich. Get checked in and relax before meeting back up with the group this evening for a round of drinks at the hostel bar. Alternatively, head out into the city to enjoy all the hidden gems you missed the first time round. Join the group tonight for one last optional dinner, and put the cherry on top of an epic adventure! Breakfast included
Day 9
Munich
The time has come to say farewell to your Busabout family, as the tour wraps up after breakfast. We trust you’ve had an incredible time and hope to see you again soon! Breakfast included
