Day 1: Vilnius to Riga

Lithuania’s little gem lies waiting. We begin our trek with an inspiring morning walk through the UNESCO listed old town, taking in Neo-Gothic spires and Baroque brilliance. There is a curious charm about this city; the KGB museum stands alongside palatial residences once occupied by the likes of Napoleon. After the walk we travel out to Trakai Castle, the once former bastion of the Duchy of Lithuania. Later that day we visit the eerie ‘Hill of Crosses’; a Mecca of the Baltic’s. Thousands and thousands of crosses adorn the hilltop, acting as a place of pilgrimage for local people. Then it’s time for Riga, another UNESCO listed old town full of the best eateries and drinkeries in the Baltic’s. We’ll go on an orientation walk to stretch the legs, taking in the toy town cuteness before an exciting evening of Baltic revelry.

H: Explore the island castle of Trakai

H: Walk up to the Hill of Crosses, Lithuania

F: Explore Riga’s nightlife on the famous bar crawl

Day 2: Riga

After a good breakfast, today is yours to delve a little deeper into Riga. The central market is one of the largest in Europe and has a delicious array of local produce to taste. The Freedom monument stands proudly for all to see and St Peter’s Church has an incredible view over the city. It's also your chance to visit the Olympic Bobsleigh Track for a speedy decent down in a 4 man bob. (B)

F: Fire old AK47s in an underground shooting range

F: Race down an Olympic bobsleigh track

Day 3: Riga to Stockholm

After a great weekend in Riga we have a chance to travel out to Riga's amazing beach suburbs, where you can check out the funky lifestyle along the Baltic coast. In the late afternoon, we’ll board our first Baltic cruise, headed for Stockholm, Sweden. You'll enjoy the long hours of sunlight, topped off with a late sunset over the Baltic sea. (B)

Day 4: Stockholm

A Swedish awakening in Stockholm. This is a very beautiful city, its saffron coloured buildings and cobbled streets surrounded by little avenues of blue water are enchanting. After check-in we'll introduce you to our Viking friends who will illuminate Stockholm’s past and present. After the tour we can grab a bike and go exploring the islands, museums and green spaces, while joyfully singing Abba songs, learning the history and gathering a hunger for some local food....meatballs anyone? In the evening we’ll get a taste of Sweden's funky music scene. (B)

H: Venture through Stockholm’s archipelago

Day 5: Stockholm to Helsinki

Today is yours to explore Stockholm: you could kayak the archipelago of islands that lie on Stockholm’s doorstep, go for a revitalising spa or take the Stockholm bike tour around all the canals and islands of the city. Stockholm has lots to do, so you have until mid-afternoon to enjoy it, before we board our second Baltic sea cruise to the capital of Finland, Helsinki. The buffet on board this cruise ship is a must have! (B)

F: Visit the ABBA Museum

F: Tour Stockholm by bicycle

F: The mother of all buffets

Day 6: Helsinki

Wake up as if you’ve never slept, it’s so light here, and the sun just doesn’t get lazy. Sitting out on the deck watching famous cities appear and enjoying breakfast is really something special. Helsinki is a cool city and the people have a great care-free attitude. After check-in we’ll walk the city, learning, before ambling out to Suomenlinna and the fabulous ‘fortress of Finland’ where the Russians seized the town from the Swedes. Tonight, we’ll eat well, enjoy some Vodka and toast our Scandi adventure.(B)

F: Feast on local delicacies at the seaside markets

F: Go for a Finnish sauna

Day 7: Helsinki to Tallinn

Today we cruise the Baltic sea for the last time. After a nice lie in, we’ll board the cruiser for a two hour trip to Tallinn. The city is enchanting. This is where the art scene lives and is a shopper’s paradise with a cafe culture to die for. Combine all these things in one day of excitement, accompanied by our Guide giving quirky little facts of history and it will leave an indelible mark in your travelling diary. Tonight we’ll make the most of this Baltic hotspot by immersing ourselves in the slinky, steamy nightlife that Tallinn is world famous for. Good night Baltics! (B)

Day 8: Tallinn

Trek finishes after breakfast. Alternatively check out our friends Vodkatrain to head further East to St Petersburg, Moscow (Russia) and beyond…(B)
