8 Day Itinerary

Road to Paris 8 day itinerary

Day 1

Barcelona

Your adventure kicks off in Spain’s second largest city and the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona! After check-in, head out to explore this unique city. See the city’s main avenue, Las Ramblas, filled with street performers, and make the most of La Boqueria - this is Barcelona’s food haven and one of the largest markets in Europe! Check out the Gran Teatre of Liceu (once Europe’s largest opera) and of course the famous Barceloneta, the city’s beautiful seafront. Work up an appetite and enjoy the included tapas welcome dinner tonight, before heading out to experience the nightlife. Dinner included

Day 2

Barcelona to San Sebastian

Enjoy some breakfast before hopping on the coach for the first departure towards our destination of San Sebastian. Get comfy for the scenic cruise through the regions of Catalunya and Aragon before crossing to the Basque region. We’ll arrive mid-afternoon and have some time to freshen up, then why not walk to Playa Concha, the symbolic beach of the city? Dive on into the Atlantic and cool off, or soak up the sun from the sands. Tonight, fuel up for tomorrow with some pintxos. This is the Basque version of tapas and a strong element of the local cuisine, usually served as a small bread base with a toothpick spearing jamón, cheese or seafood on top. Eat as much as you can and enjoy the night out! Breakfast included Dinner included

Day 3

San Sebastian

San Sebastian is yours! Relax and soak up some rays on the beach, swim in the refreshing waters, explore the streets enjoying the local cuisine, or go surfing at Playa Zurriola. If you’re feeling active later this evening, walk up Monte Urgull to an ex-military fortress used to defend the city above the Old Town. When you’re nice and hungry, how about another round of tasty pintxos? Breakfast included

Day 4

San Sebastian

Today why not take a visit the Museo de San Telmo, or the Miramar Palace? We also recommend taking a day trip to Bilbao, another hidden gem in the Basque country. For truly unique sunset views over the city this evening, climb up the Monte Igueldo hill. Don’t forget to bring a fully charged camera because you’re going to need it! While here you could also visit the theme park and go for a ride. Breakfast included

Day 5

San Sebastian to Bordeaux

Fill up with plenty of breakfast this morning for the journey to Bordeaux! Known as the “sleeping beauty”, Bordeaux is the world's largest urban UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering almost half the city. It’s also for famous for producing some of the world’s best wine, so make sure you visit as many wine bars as possible! After check-in, head for a stroll through Bordeaux’s city centre and see Miroir d'Eau (the world's biggest reflecting pool), the Basilica of St. Michel and Place de la Bourse - the city’s beautiful square. Tonight, chow down on some of the local cuisine and find a spot to enjoy a glass or two of local wine. Breakfast included

Day 6

Bordeaux

Get out and explore the city today! Check out Le Grand Theatre, Place de Quinconces, La Grosse Cloche, and visit some of the local bakeries. If you like wine, we recommend visiting La Cite du Vin, a type of theme park dedicated to wine. This evening get comfortable and do as the locals do: have a picnic dinner along the banks of the river Garonne and watch the world go by. Breakfast included

Day 7

Bordeaux to Paris

Spend the morning however you please - meander through the shops, stock up on cheese and wine, or have lunch before our journey ahead. Settle back into our comfy coach and get some rest today as we drive towards the City of Love, Paris. It’s the last night of the adventure, so celebrate with the optional evening excursion to a cabaret show, which includes a glass of French wine or Champagne! Breakfast included

Day 8

Paris

It’s time to say au revoir after breakfast as we part ways at the end of our adventure. We hope to see you again soon! Breakfast included
