Return to Fethiye:
The trip will finish at 9am at Fethiye Harbour on the final day.
Getting there and away:
Flights from Istanbul:
From Istanbul the best airport to fly to, and the nearest to Fethiye, is Dalaman, a short 1h15min flight from Istanbul, with super regular departures scheduled with Turkish Airlines, Atlasjet, Onurair or Pegasus Air among others (all of which can be booked online). There are two airports in Istanbul - the main airport, Ataturk Airport, only 30mins from the main touristic area Sultanahmet, and the other, Sabiha Gokcen Airport, about 2 hours from Sultanahmet (depending on traffic).
Dalaman to Fethiye:
Once at Dalaman there are a couple of super-easy ways to get to Fethiye (please allow at least 1.5 hours to get to Fethiye from Dalaman airport):
Bus:
The HAVAS bus follows the Turkish Airlines flights and costs approx. 30 Turkish Lira per person (about €12). The bus drops you off at the bus station in Fethiye. From here there are taxis into town, or you can jump on the local minibus ‘Dolmus’, whilst the ‘Karagozler' minibus departs from opposite the bus station, dropping you off at the V-GO Office at the harbor or the V-GO guesthouse if you’re planning on chilling out in Fethiye for a few days before your trip (approx. 2 Turkish Lira for a bus ticket – bargain!)
Private Transfer:
We do not offer transfers directly however you can arrange them through local operators VGos Travel Agency in Fethiye - you can email them direct at info@bluecruisesturkey.com to pre-book (payment in full is due on arrival).
Istanbul – Fethiye by bus:
Another option from Istanbul is to get the night bus to Fethiye. A fair bit longer than a flight, at around 12 hours, but it’s a direct bus and a super cheap option – around 65-85 Turkish Lira per person (circa €25-€34 per person). The bus drops you off at Fethiye bus station and from here you can jump on the free service to V-GO Hotel or to the V-GO Office (15 mins). The overnight bus normally departs at 9pm and 10pm, however the bus companies that operate the buses confirm prices and times at the last minute and it isn’t possible to book online, so all times, prices and tickets must be confirmed and booked locally.
Turkish sleeps:
For those of you heading in to Fethiye a few days before your trip, or chilling out there for a few days after, we recommend V-Go’s guesthouse for pre and post tour accommodation. With great facilities including a pool, free breakfast, air conditioned en-suite rooms and free Wi-Fi, this is an awesome guesthouse and can be booked super easily through your MyTrip – just put down a 10% deposit and pay the rest on arrival. V-Go's is now available to book, so jump on to 'my trip' to check out the options and if you need any info just let us know.
