It’s no secret that the south of Italy is a spectacular place to travel, with an ideal combination of sun, delicious food, cool activities, and spectacular sights. But just in case you weren’t 100% sold on coming down to see Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast with us, here are a few reasons to convince you that the Italian Adventure is an essential part of your Eurotrip.

The Food

There is so much epic food on this trip that it’s hard to pick just a few. How do a 4-course Italian dinner, life changing sandwich, spices to take home and the best fruit of your life sound? Here are a few highlights:

Caprese Salad

Buffalo mozzarella is a specialty of the Campania region, and the tomatoes are extra delicious too, thanks to the volcanic soil of Mt Vesuvius. This salad is genius in its simplicity!

Seafood

The seafood linguine on our optional first night dinner is already the stuff of legend, and if you still can’t get enough then Ravello is the perfect place to grab a cone of fried seafood too.

Gelati

Sorrento, Capri, or Amalfi – we’ve got you covered for the best gelati in every stop. We recommend a lemon sorbet in Sorrento, pannacotta and strawberry in a still warm waffle cone in Capri, and pure dark chocolate in Amalfi!

The Views

Of course it’s more about experiences than photos, but the amazing shots you’ll take home will cheer you up when you’re back home and missing Europe.

Mt Solaro

At 589 metres, Mt Solaro is the highest point on Capri, and guaranteed to be your next profile picture. Or at least gather the most Likes you’ve had in a while!

Positano

It wouldn’t be the Amalfi coast without a photo stop overlooking the stunning ‘vertical city’ of Positano. You get to enjoy this view whilst munching on the most delicious fruit you’ve ever had, too.

Ravello

According to legend, Satan tried to corrupt Jesus by showing him the beauty of Ravello. Nestled on a cliff with coastal views at the front and vineyard covered mountains behind, this is the ideal place for lunch on our final day!

The Sights

It’s not just eating and selfies, there’s actually a heap to DO on the trip too! Churches, ruins or the great outdoors, we’ve got your covered.

Pompeii

Experience the glory of the Roman Empire with a 2-hour guided tour of the ancient city of Pompeii, perfectly preserved thanks to the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Grotta Azzura

Take a boat into the Blue Grotto, a sea cave on Capri with a 1 metre opening that allows the sunlight to create a shimmering blue effect. You might even hear some Italian singing while inside!

Duomo di Amalfi

Imagine it’s 800 years ago and Amalfi is the greatest Maritime Republic of the Mediterranean. The cathedral of St Andrew must be one of the most beautiful and unique in all of Italy, with its golden mosaics hinting at Amalfi’s rich trading past with the East.

Our Italian Adventure departs from Rome and runs all summer. Check the website for more details!
