Day 3: Edinburgh
No doubt there will be a few sore heads this morning but what better cure for a hangover than a Loony Dook! For almost thirty years South Queensferry has played host to this insane event. Hundreds of, well... loonies, take to the freezing waters of the Firth of Forth, many of them in fancy dress and all of them up for a good time. This event helps to raise thousands of pounds for charity and with the impressive Forth Bridge in the background, this obscure tradition is an event not to be missed. After an optional 'refreshing' swim in the sea, we head back to the capital where you can join Edinburgh's Hogmanay official festivities or warm up with some glühwein at the winter markets. Tonight we have one final fling for those who are still up for it!
