Day 1: San Sebastian
Check into your hostel anytime from 2pm. Tonight your guide will take you on an orientation walk of San Sebastian and arrange a general meet and greet at Zibbo's bar. You'll be issued with ID cards (essential for getting on-board the Pamps transfer coach!) and given a general overview of the trip and tantalise your travelling taste-buds with whats to come! Have a sangria on us, and try the local tapas - known as pintxos in the Basque country!
Day 2: San Seb - Pamplona
First early morning shuttle from San Seb to Pamplona for the opening ceremony. This commences at noon in the square outside the Town Hall. Enjoy the festivities! Champagne, sangria and egg throwing!
We'll have regular shuttles running from the festival back to San Sebastian so the choice is yours when you head back (last shuttle will be at midnight). Tonight will be an all night party in Pamplona so stick around until the morning if you have the stamina...welcome to the madness that is San Fermin!
Day 3: San Seb - Pamplona
Super early morning transfer to Pamps so you can get your place trackside for the first run (encierro) for Sanfermines 2010. The run starts at 8am, but you need to claim your viewing space early. If interested in running, you need to present yourself to organisers at the start line 1 hour before the encierro.
Again we have various shuttles running between San Sebastian and Pamplona so if you partied all night, or just came down to see the run this morning, you have the chance to spend the day on the beach and wander around the old town in San Sebastian. Our last shuttle back to San Sebastian will head back at midnight so don't miss it!
Day 4: San Seb - Pamplona
Last early morning shuttle to Pamplona to see the second bull run of San Fermin. Perhaps this time you might want to participate, or watch from inside the bullring so you can view the shenanigans at the end of the race when the runners and bulls are in the ring together. After the run we head back to San Sebastian to chill on the beach, before heading to Zibbo's bar for the Busabout/San Fermin end of tour party. A complimentary sangria and chupito (shot) is on offer so to get the party started.
Day 5: San Sebastian
Trip finishes after breakfast. Check out 11am.
