MOUSSAKA
The archetypal traditional Greek dish, moussaka combines minced lamb, aubergine and tomato covered in a delicious white sauce, a definite must-try.
SAGANAKi
Generally served as an appetizer, saganaki means ‘flaming cheese’ and is basically just that, delicious fried cheese served sizzling hot with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, delicious! For seafood lovers mussel saganaki and shrimp saganaki are also alternative versions well worth trying.
KLEFTIKO
Said to mean ‘stolen meat’ because of the dubious way in which the ingredients were traditionally acquired this meat dish is usually lamb, slow cooked inside a paper package to keep the meat juicy and flavoured with garlic and lemon, yum.
TZATIKI
The most famous of all Greek dips, tzatiki is made with yoghurt and cucumber and is delicious anytime, anywhere.
SOULCLAKI
Skewers of grilled meat and vegetables served with pitta bread, potatoes, rice or on their own, either way they do the trick and they do it very well!
FRAPPE
