For those who really love their German Beer Festivals. Not only will we stay in Munich and do Oktoberfest, we also spend one night in Stuttgart to experience the Volksfest, an internationally lesser known beerfest that's more for the locals and totally unique.
Check in to the Busabout London ready to depart at 3pm for your coach journey over to Munich. We'll be taking the ferry from Dover to Calais so be sure to grab some snacks for the journey ahead.
We arrive at the campsite in Munich mid-afternoon where you will be allocated your pre-pitched tent. Once settled your Guide will take you on an orientation walk of the city. You can either head to one of the local beer halls just chill out and explore the city at your own pace. Shuttles will run from Munich to the campsite until late, so there's plenty of flexibility.
Into Munich for more of the festival. Your Guide will make sure you are in the right place at the right time. Once again, there are regular shuttles running back to the campsite.
You can choose to hit the beer halls or try one of our optional excursions. Join our day trip to one of the most stunning parts of Bavaria to visit King Ludwig's famous Neuschwanstein Castle. This region is absolutely breath taking and the castle itself was used as a model for Walt Disney's Cinderella. Your Busabout Guide and driver will take you there in air-conditioned style and have you back in time to party at the Oktoberfest grounds for your last night in Munich.
We head to Stuttgart for another of Germany's (lesser known) beer fest and spend the next night in the relative luxury of a hotel! Tonight we have a table reserved for dinner and drinks at the Cannstatter-Volksfest, a traditional German beerfest so get ready to feast on top Bavarian grub and swill a few more steins!
Final day to Explore Stuttgart and all the festival shenanigans before we depart for London and ferry from Calais to Dover.
We arrive back into London late afternoon where you'll bid farewell to your fest mates and Busabout crew.
