Day 1: 20 September

It's an early start to meet with your Fest-mates and Busabout crew at the airport but in 2 hours you will be in Germany! Once you arrive and are met by your Crew you will be whisked off in an air-conditioned coach to Munich and the famous city-centre Wombats Hostel. Your crew will take you through the plan for the next few days. After check-in, join your Guide for a Munich orientation walk to explore the city, then get ready for a big night out. Meet at the Wom-bar in the evening for a free drink in preparation for the next day's events!

Day 2: 21 September

Let the fun begin! Your Guide will take you all down to the Oktoberfest grounds which is a short walk from our hostel accommodation. The opening parade starts at 11am and we'll make sure you will be in the right place at the right time.

The festival begins with a colourful parade through the streets of Munich to the Oktoberfest grounds. Horse and carts in traditional dress carry in the very beer kegs we will soon be drinking from! Watch the landlords make their festive entry to the Theresienwiese.

Day 3: 22 September

Head down to The Oktoberfest grounds for another day! Hair of the Dog, soaking up the Bavarian culture, a bike tour, enjoying some of the festival rides...the choice is yours!

Don't miss the Riflemen's Parade. This is one of the best and most colourful displays of Bavarian history, culture, and tradition. Watch regional costume groups, 'troops' in historical uniforms, marching bands, riflemen, thoroughbred horses, and even oxen, cows, and goats pass by in a 3-mile long procession.

Day 4: 23 September

Join our day trip to one of the most stunning parts of Bavaria to visit King Ludwig's famous Neuschwanstein Castle. This region is absolutely breath taking and the castle itself was used as a model for Walt Disney's Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Your Busabout Guide and driver will take you there in air-conditioned style and have you back in time to party at the Oktoberfest grounds for your last night in Munich.

Day 5: 24 September

The time has come to meet up for the transfer to the airport. First a quick orientation of Stuttgart city centre and then off to catch our flight. Your Guide will check you in and bid you Auf Wiedersehen!
