Day 2: 23 December – Krakow
We depart Prague and make the short journey to Cesky Krumlov, a Bohemian jewel looking great especially at Christmas time. We'll do an orientation walk before enjoying dinner in the old town. The town is always full of Christmas festivity at this time of year, so it's a great opportunity to celebrate with the locals tonight.
Day 3: 24 December - Krakow to Zakopane
Today we journey to the Austrian capital, Vienna, where we will have the chance to visit some traditional Christmas markets. Austrians celebrate Christmas tonight so we'll do the same, with a delicious dinner included and a few drinks to see in Christmas Eve with style.
Day 4: Christmas Day – Zakopane
Wake up to a Christmas in Vienna, a world city. Today is free to call home and then explore this opulent and classical city before tonight‘s celebrations of a scrumptious dinner in a traditional Viennese restaurant. This is a real highlight, eating and drinking quality food and wine which you will never forget. Then it’s party time!
Day 5: Boxing Day - Zakopane to Budapest
We leave Vienna and head further east to the Hungarian metropolis, Budapest stopping en route in Bratislava for some winter fun. Bratislava has an amazing castle district and old town where we'll have lunch. We have great friends in Budapest that will make your Boxing Day a fun evening. A meal of goulash on board the Danube River night cruise.
Day 6: 27 December - Budapest
It's your day in Budapest to really get to know this magnificent town. Some of our favourite spots include the Ice-Skating Rink (the largest outdoor rink in Europe) or the Castle District and St Stephen's Cathedral. Melt away the evening in the cities' famous thermal baths (what better way to spend a cold European Winters evening outside in the steaming hot waters!)
Day 7: 28 December - Budapest to Bratislava to Vienna
We bid Budapest goodbye and head through Slovakia and into the Polish Alps for some winter fun and revelry. The highland food is a highlight. Zakopane is set in the wonderful Tatras mountains and the homely accommodation here sits snugly in the Alps.
Day 8: 29 December - Vienna
A day to enjoy the Alps, where you’ll find the skiing is great value. The town of Zakopane looks fabulous at this time and the pre New Year's atmosphere abounds throughout the huts that dot the slopes. Tonight is a free night to explore the local restaurants before meeting your Guide for a few drinks at the local bars.
Day 9: 30 December - Vienna to Cesky Krumlov
We leave the Polish Alps as we head for one of Europe's most stunning cities – Krakow, our final stop on tour! First though we'll tour sobering Auschwitz before arriving into Krakow. This old city hosts one of the most elaborate New Year’s parties in Europe with the huge city square playing host to live acts, DJs and fireworks! The city is world famous for its nightlife with a labyrinth of underground clubs down secret little side streets with the world's best vodkas, pumping dance floors full of beautiful people and a great music scene from the funky and chic to the cool and underground – the city has it all. Tonight we'll head to Kazimierz the old quirky Jewish quarter for some live music and real good food for a bit of a warm up!
Day 10: New Year's Eve - Cesky Krumlov to Prague
We set off on the Krakow city walk seeing all the top sights. The afternoon is set as free time in preparation for a New Year to remember. We’ll visit some of the best bars and clubs in the town while dancing the night away until the early hours.
