If it’s extremes you’re looking for, you’ll find them on the West and South Loops with the warmest beaches, the highest mountains and the best cuisine that the continent has to offer.
Fly into the classic city of Munich, where you can tour Bavarian castles and beerhalls, or take a daytrip to Dachau. Sing with the gondoliers on Venice’s canals. Jump across the water to Croatia or Greece from Ancona, or go straight to Rome where you can visit ruins like only the Romans can make. Eat all the gelato you can while you tour through Renaissance Siena and Florence, glorious Cinque Terre and luxurious Milan, and then work it all off in the extreme sport haven of Lauterbrunnen. Go skiing on the top of the Europe in Switzerland’s Jungfrau region, then take it down a notch on the sparkling waters of Lake Como.
Spend some money in Monaco and Nice before venturing into Spain, where your days will fly by in a haze of flamenco, sangria and sunshine. Go shopping along La Ramblas in Barcelona or climb Gaudi’s Gothic Sagrada Familia. Hit the beach or search for the Holy Grail in Valencia and then immerse yourself in artwork at Madrid’s famous Prado Museum. Before you leave Madrid’s fabulous shopping districts, buy yourself a new outfit for the resort town of San Sebastian, where the boulevards and the Mediterranean sparkle. Tear yourself away from the beach and the pintxos with enough time leftover for a wine tour through Bordeaux. Finish your trip among the iconic landmarks of Paris.
