Day 1 - Tuesday
Your tour will depart at 8am from the reception of the Tropitel Hotel in Dahab. From the hotel we make our way to the port of Nuweibba where we'll be crossing by speedboat to Aquaba in Jordan. Before we jump onboard,there will be a light lunch before you embark on the trip of a lifetime to the historic city of Petra. Before entering Jordan our guide will accompany you through passport control and arrange visa's for those who haven't previously arranged their own. At approximately 5pm we'll be making our way from the port of Aquaba and driving to Petra via the desert highway and the Kings Road. Arrival at the hotel in Petra will be at approximately 6:30pm.
Day 2 - Wednesday
Today we have an early start in order to spend as much time as possible in Petra, the rose red city, also known as the 'lost city' owing to the fact it was only rediscovered in 1812. Commonly described as the eigth wonder of the world, Petra is not the sort of spot to visit and forgot your camera! Embroiled in a colurful past, this ancient city is carved into sheer rock and it's architecture is sure to leave you speechless. Your entrance into Petra will see you ride in on a horse before making your way on foot to the treasury, El Khazneh, a grave for the most important of the 13 Nabatean Kings. You'll spend a full day exploring this amazing ancient city, both in the company of your guide and also at your own pace. In the evening we make our way to our hotel where dinner will see everyone come together and exchange stories from the day. Without doubt, Petra is bound to be up there amongst your top ten travel expereinces - ever!
Day 3 - Thursday
After an amazing day in Petra we continue our journey into the desert. Wadi rum, the desert valley of the Bedouins, is truly amazing and you can easily get lost in your thoughts as you wander around an almost completely untouched landscape of boundless empty spaces and vast canyons. For the trainspotters in the group you'll soon note that this very desert was the place of filming for one of the biggest films of its day - Lawrence of Arabia. Later, we'll be making our way through Wadi rum by 4x4 safari as we make tracks to our desert camp for the evening ,Al Diese, where we'll be pitching tent for a night spent under the desert sky.
Day 4 - Friday
After a night spent under the stars, you'll take part in a Bedouin breakfast before departing by bus from the Al Diese Camp at approximately 10:30am. Arrival at the port in Aqaba will be around 12:30pm where we'll be boarding the speedboat back to Nuweiba. Our guide will again be with you through passport control should anyone need assistance. Upon arrival into Nuweiba, you'll make your way through the desert again once more before arriving back to Dahab for the completion of your tour.
