Design your very own trip. choose your route around our network and stop where you want. Our Flexitrip is the ultimate flexible travel option, you can choose anywhere you'd like to go and then buy the number of corresponding flexistops. This is ideal if you really want a true trans-continental adventure or have a clear idea of what cities you want to experience.
How it works
A Busabout Flexitrip Pass (6 or more flexistops) will give you access to the entire Busabout coach network. A flexistop is any time you jump off the coach overnight - compulsory overnight stops are indicated with red dots on the map below.
Flexitrip Passes are perfect for travellers who are looking to go from point A to point B without wanting to get the whole "Loop". Your Flexistops are valid for the entire operating season giving you maximum flexibility (thus the clever name). Break away from the network and explore destinations like Greece or Morocco. Start and finish anywhere - just keep travelling until you run out of stops, or buy more as you go.
For example : Start in Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Munich, Venice and finish in Rome - all with only 8 'flexistops'. Stay in each city as long as you like. If you'd like to make an extra 'stop' in say Salzburg, simply buy an extra 'flexistop' from your On-board Guide.
The Flexitrip Pass is valid for the entire 2008 operating season (May to October). Each "sector" may be travelled once and departures from each city are every other day.

La Spezia for Cinque Terre |
 |
| Population : |
For the Italian coast’s best scenery strike south to the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre. Named after its five tiny villages – Riomaggiore, Manorola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso – this World Heritage–listed park encompasses some of Italy’s most picturesque coastline. The villages, all accessible by train, are linked by the 12km Via dell’Amore (Lovers’ Lane; toll €3), a beautiful and mildly challenging day’s walk.
Details of the park’s walking and cycle trails are available from the park office. You can hire snorkelling and diving gear and kayaks at the Diving Center 5 Terre (0187 92 00 11; www.5terrediving.com; Via San Giacomo) in Riomaggiore.
Getting around
From La Spezia regional trains to/from the Cinque Terre run twice hourly between 6am and 9.15pm; unlimited travel between Levanto and La Spezia is covered by the biglietto giornaliero Cinque Terre (24-hour Cinque Terre rail pass, €5.40).
In summer various ferry companies ply the coastal waters: Trasporti Marittimi Turistici Golfo Paradiso (0185 77 20 91; www.golfoparadiso.it, in Italian) runs between Genoa, Camogli and the Cinque Terre; and Navigazione Golfo dei Poeti (0187 96 76 76; www.navigazionegolfodeipoeti.it) connects La Spezia and the Cinque Terre.
Eating
La Lanterna (0187 92 05 89; Via San Giacomo, Loc Marina; mains €17-21) Has a light-filled nautical dining room and charming terrace. Fish caught daily are chalked on its blackboard, alongside seafood pastas and yum desserts including a wonderful babà al limoncello (brioche drenched in limoncello)
Bar Centrale (0187 92 02 08; Via Colombo 144; internet per hr €6) The hub of Riomaggiore high jinks, the Bar Centrale bar is, in the off-season, your only real carousing option. In summer it’s the most raucous.
