Taking a visit to Jordan and Petra is a possibility, but leaving Dahab without experiencing the unique underwater dreamscape would be an opportunity missed . Discover Scuba - £35
This is the perfect opportunity for those who have always wanted to dive but never had the opportunity or the budget to undertake a full PADI course. You will be with an instructor 100% of the time in a completely safe environment whilst being surrounded by the awesome marine environment of the Red Sea. Pick your colour of the rainbow and you will see fish in that colour!

5 day PADI Open Water Beginner - £199
This is the course to introduce you to the underwater world - once you have this qualification you are free to dive anywhere in the world under the globally recognised PADI qualification. Planning your Dive trip
Dive Site Transfers
Transfer costs are 8 Euro per half day trip (1 dive) and 12 Euro for full day trip (2 dives) however Full day trips are very seldom, because there are only a few dive spots “far away” from Tropitel Dahab Oasis.
Certified Divers
A “Check dive” for all divers is obligatory but will be without surcharge and will be done as a “welcome dive” (normal dive with some skills at the beginning)
Course Start Dates
All courses start on the Tuesday after the 11day Egypt tour, or for Petra passengers, on the Saturday after they return. All passengers will need to reserve accommodation in Dahab ‘post-tour’ at the time of booking their dive trip. (Egypt pax need to book for the Tuesday night onwards, Petra from Friday night onwards).

Our Operator Lagona Divers
The Dive Centre is open the entire year round. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 18:00 hours. Usually the Dive
Center isn’t closed before the last customer left. 'Après Dive' is a serious matter to Lagona Divers! The address is: Tropitel Dahab Oasis Resort, Bue Hole Road, Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt
Dive trips (by jeep or pick-up) are organised as half day trips including 1 dive or as full day trips with 2 dives
at one or two different dive spots. All spots north of Dahab including Blue Hole are offered as half day trips. The dive spots in Dahab directly (from “Eelgarden” to “The Islands”) can be offered as half day or full day trips depending on the customers wishes.
All dive spots which are situated more south than the “5 star hotel zone” of Dahab (Hilton, Swiss Inn…) are operated as full day trips only.
House Reef Dives can be done without guide directly in front of the Dive Centre at the southern extension of
the famous dive spot “Canyon Garden”. A massive dive jetty guarantees safe and direct entry and exit to and
from the dive spot. House Reef Diving is possible as a buddy team regarding the necessary qualification and
experience or with a guide on extra costs. A compulsory Check dive will be conducted as 'Welcome Dive' and is at no extra cost.
All packages include:
- Tank (12l Aluminium Tank with DIN Valve. INT – Adapters available)
- Air or NITROX (depending on clients’ request and education)

- weights
- Guide (only during dive trips by car or boat)
All dive packages are personal and not transferable. Additional dives after any package can be booked at reduced rates on the spot.
Joining dive trips as a non diver
At most of the dive spots you can find simple restaurants as well as the possibility to sun bath and to swim free of charge. If space is available, non divers are most welcome during the dive trips.
Additional costs (on the spot)
1. Lagona Divers - Dahab support the decompression chamber of Dr. Adel Taher in Dahab. At the moment every diver is free to help with a small donation to finance this decompression chamber. Recommended is 1 Euro per diver and day
2. There’s a plan of local authorities of Dahab to charge fees for some dive spots in the future. This can happen suddenly, never or just for some time. These fees we will be charged to the clients on the spot. The clients will be informed by the dive centre
3. All courses are subject to certification fees of 45 Euro
4. Lunches are extra but there will always a good value option
Welcome Dive for Certified Dives
The first dive will always be done as a 'Welcome Dive'. The aim and purpose of this dive is to introduce the guest according to his / her individual qualification level to the practical part of his / her diving holiday to ensure a relaxed diving holiday. This dive is a full dive. At the beginning of the dive the following exercises have to be done: breathing without mask (minimum 3 breaths), exercise with alternate air sharing, weight check and buoyancy control. The service of the welcome dive is at no extra costs.
