Day 1
Split - Makarska
Your Guide will be ready to check you in from 11am. Once we’ve got you settled in you’ll have time to meet the crew and enjoy a large lunch and welcome drink: ‘Zivjeli!’ After lunch (all three courses!) we depart for Makarska - a popular resort town on the Croatian coastline. The 1,500m beach is lined with palm trees, fashionable cafes, bars and boutiques. Your guide will lead you on an orientation walk, pointing out all the fantastic places where you can have a meal before we head onto a popular cocktail bar where the bartenders are known for setting the bar top on fire! During peak season make sure you visit the club located inside a cave! The party doesn’t get going until late and continues on into the early morning (ending when the boat is about to depart!).
Day 2
Makarska - Mljet
This morning we make our way to Mljet. Once we’re on the move make sure you keep your eyes peeled because this passage is one of the top dolphin-spotting sites! Mljet is known as the green island and is the 1st national park in the Adriatic. It is most famous for its two lakes which are joined by a narrow channel. Located in the larger of the two lakes is the abandoned monastery located on St. Mary’s Island. Either you can sit here, swim whilst enjoying the peace and quiet, or explore more of the island! In the port you can rent a kayak, bicycle, scooter, 4x4 or even a car (need to have your driver’s license) and take off through the trees and hills. No need to worry about getting lost, there is really only one main road cutting through this island. Back in town grab a pizza for dinner and meet your mates for some drinks aboard the boat. We will be docked alongside other boats - so a party usually starts up somewhere!
Day 3
Mljet - Dubrovnik
Departing from Mljet you can work on your tan as we head to Dubrovnik. Arrival to the city is normally around lunchtime. Once we dock, follow your guide into the city for an orientation walk. George Bernard Shaw named Dubrovnik the ‘jewel of the Adriatic’ and it is a definite highlight of the tour. You can’t beat a walk around the city walls! The entire journey is just under 2kms but you won’t notice the distance as you admire the surrounding sea and amazing architecture climbing up to 200 meters above this magical city. Then it’s dinner time: come out to a traditional Konoba in the centre of town and eat fresh seafood and pasta dishes! Before or after dinner you can grab a drink at the sunset bar which is located outside the city walls on a rocky cliff- there’s nothing like it! After the sun has set, the night begins. We start for drinks in the city centre where, with your group, you will get discounts on an assortment of cocktails. If you fancy carrying on, make your way to one of Dubrovnik’s many clubs (just make sure you get back to the boat before morning!).
Day 4
Dubrovnik - Trstenik
Today is all about recovering after Dubrovnik. Once you arise you’ll find that we’re heading to the quiet town of Trstenik. Once we’ve dropped anchor you can take a swim on the beach or take a stroll up the hills and visit the local winery. Tonight you have the option of having dinner with the captain aboard the boat. Let the cook spoil you with a massive meal whilst you put your feet up with a cocktail in hand. Afterwards relax on the deck with some more drinks, tunes and whatever follows.
Day 5
Trstenik - Korcula
After breakfast we depart for Korcula, the main town on the island of the same name. This town is smaller than Dubrovnik but boasts a spectacular array of architecture and nature, as well as being the birth place of Marco Polo. This city is full of interesting sights and amazing stories to keep you entertained for the afternoon. Hear why Korcula is nicknamed the Black Island, wander the herringbone streets, visit the spot where Marco Polo lived, or grab a cocktail in the bar located on top of the old city tower. Korcula is bound to be another highlight of your trip!
Day 6
Korcula - Hvar
We arrive in Hvar harbour in late afternoon after enjoying the day swimming by the Pakleni Islands. This beautiful town is a favourite of many of the rich and famous. Upon arrival, go for a brief walk around town as your Guide shows you the largest city square of the Croatian Islands and also the 400 year old community theatre, the oldest in Europe. Want more? Climb up to the town’s fortress for breathtaking views of Hvar and the Pakleni Islands dotting the sea below. Pick up food and drinks and meet up with the group for a sunset picnic. Then be sure to put on your dancing shoes and follow your Guide out on the town. Partake in the beach party in the nearby cove, check out the extensive cocktail menu at Carpe Diem (we’re quite partial to the Funky Monkey) and then finish the evening dancing at the old fortress-turned-nightclub… there is even a swimming pool inside!
Day 7
Hvar - Split
It’s now time to begin the journey back to Split. No trip would be complete without a stop at Croatia’s most famous beach – Zlatni Rat – for a swim. Relax in the sun, soaking in the rays. A late afternoon welcome back to Split – home of the World Heritage Diocletian’s Palace. Enjoy a walking tour with your guide and then a final dinner within the palace walls. Relive the memories over final cocktails and, if you’re still up for it, join your crew at one of the beach clubs for one last night on the tiles.
Day 8
Saturday, Split.
Early breakfast after which it is time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends!
Please note: The captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions or similar.
