As in life, travelling has plenty of highs and lows. So does our Alpine Pass budget tour, where you can climb to the highest peaks in Switzerland and then get down in the Netherlands. We promise: this Flexiroute holiday in Europe will keep your spirits high all the way!

Beginning in Rome, head through the hills of Italy into La Spezia and the Cinque Terre, where the walks are hard but the rewards spectacular. Get a quick taste of France before heading back into Italy in Milan, where you can catch a football game and try risotto. Head up through the mountains of Switzerland to Lauterbrunnen, and go even higher with a trip up the Jungfrau, where you can ski, skydive and paraglide to your heart’s content.

Slowly make your way down to picturesque Lucerne and Liechtenstein, the sixth-smallest country in the world. Spend a few days in the wonderful beer halls and gardens of Munich before drinking in even more of Germany in surprisingly lively Stuttgart. Onto the final leg: the lowlands of northern Europe. Spend as long as you want in Paris before enjoying the beer, waffles and chocolate of Belgian Bruges. Finish your Europe trip in Amsterdam’s crazy Red Light District. Backpack Europe on a small budget.
The Alpine Pass is valid for the entire operating season (May to October). Each "sector" may be travelled once and departures from each city are every other day.
